| Main advantages of aluminum alloy material
- Lightweight and soft. The density of aluminum is 2.71 g/cm3, which is about one-third of the density of steel;
- Good strength. The tensile strength of pure aluminum is about 80 MN/m2, which is one-fifth of that of low-carbon steel. But after heat treatment and alloying strengthening, it can reach the corresponding strength value of low-carbon steel.
- Good corrosion resistance. One of the characteristics of aluminum alloy is that when it comes into contact with air, a dense oxide film forms on the surface, which can prevent corrosion and therefore has good corrosion resistance. If the aluminum oxide film treatment method is applied to it again, it can comprehensively prevent corrosion.
- Good processing performance. The extrusion performance of railway vehicle profiles is good, and secondary machining and bending processing are also relatively easy.
- Easy to regenerate. Aluminum has a low melting point (660 ℃) and is easy to regenerate. Aluminum alloy is the most widely used non-ferrous metal structural material in industry, and has been widely used in aviation, aerospace, automotive, mechanical manufacturing, shipbuilding, and chemical industries. The rapid development of industrial economy has led to an increasing demand for aluminum alloy welded structural components, which has led to in-depth research on the weldability of aluminum alloys.
Compared with other metal materials, aluminum and aluminum alloys have the following characteristics:
- Low density. The density of aluminum and aluminum alloys is close to 2.7g/, about one-third of that of iron or copper.
- High strength aluminum and aluminum alloys have high strength. After a certain degree of cold processing, the strength of the matrix can be strengthened, and some grades of aluminum alloys can also be strengthened through heat treatment.
- Aluminum has good conductivity and thermal conductivity, second only to silver, copper, and gold.
- The surface of aluminum with good corrosion resistance is prone to naturally produce a dense and sturdy AL2O3 protective film, which can effectively protect the substrate from corrosion. By artificial anodizing and coloring, cast aluminum alloys with good casting performance or deformed aluminum alloys with good processing plasticity can be obtained.
- After adding a certain amount of alloy elements to the easy processing, cast aluminum alloys with good casting performance or deformed aluminum alloys with good processing plasticity can be obtained.

Casting
The purpose is to make casting components and meet the requirements of high purity alloy melt, and create favorable conditions for the casting of various shapes.
Several key parameters in the process of casting:
1 the temperature need generally set at 1050 C when smelting, the temperature of material need under monitoring, metal temperature need control less than 770 DEG C
2 at around 735 DEG C, worker need slag operation, the temperature is favorable to the separation of slag and liquid.
3 generally need twice refining ,one refining way is solid refining agent, the other way using gas refining method.
4 after the general 30min-1h inverted furnace ,worker need to timely casting, otherwise worker need to re refining
5 During casting process ,worker need to continue to join Ai-Ti-B wire to refine grain

Hot rolling can improve the processing performance of metal and alloy, reduce or eliminate the casting defects.
